Sitting Room Skipping is an exhibition curation group organised by an event promoter Alex Bowman Wookie, artist Estelle Birch and Just Us Collective member Masaki Miwa.
“Sitting Room Skipping work along a similar line as the Just Us Collective; to promote up-coming/emerging student talents in all art & design areas.”
For each exhibition, Sitting Room Skipping asks participants to create a piece of work on a particular theme. Their first exhibition themed “KAIJU” (A Japanese term to describe strange beasts/ monsters, the likes of Godzilla, Mothra, Ultraman) was at Dalston/ Haggerston in London at Powerlunches. The exhibition was accompanied with gigs by EWE (Ex- My Luminaries), Beat Ratio. Masaki Miwa and 2 of the Just Us Collective members, Pablo Jones-Soler & Josh Greet also exhibited their works.
